Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, has formally announced his intention to seek re-election to the National Assembly, reaffirming his commitment to continue representing his constituents.
He made the declaration on Friday while speaking with journalists at the Asaba International Airport upon his arrival in Asaba, where he was received alongside former Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege by a large crowd of supporters.
The senator said the turnout reflected the strong connection between him and the people of Delta North, adding that his legislative work has been focused on addressing their socio-economic needs.
“The people know me, and I know them. I understand their needs and I am committed to solving their problems,” he said.
Nwoko also pledged support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, expressing confidence in his leadership and ongoing national reforms.
On education, he revealed plans to upgrade the Federal College of Education, Asaba, into a federal university, describing it as a strategic step to expand access to higher learning and regional development.
He urged constituents to continue supporting what he called progressive governance while warning against a return to “old politics.”
On the proposed Anioma State, Nwoko aligned with the position of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, stating that it reflects the official stance on the matter.
