Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has dismissed rumours claiming he has left the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to join the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
An aide close to the former governor told media that the rumours were fabricated by mischief-makers. The aide noted that as a prominent political figure, El-Rufai would not have joined the PDP without making such a decision public.

Reacting to the claims on his verified X account, formerly Twitter, El-Rufai urged the public to ignore the falsehoods regarding his political allegiance.
“I have referred the lead peddlers of this fake news to my lawyers for legal action,” he stated on Sunday.
