The founder of the One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji, has urged Nigerians, regardless of their social status, ethnicity, or political affiliation, to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
In a statement issued on Friday in Ibadan, Oyo State, Maharaj Ji also advised the Department of State Services not to detain the Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, over his remarks concerning the 2027 general election.
Responding to the controversy surrounding statements attributed to Adeyemo, Maharaj Ji described him as a dedicated advocate for human rights.
He noted that the situation had been blown out of proportion, stressing that expressing strong views on national matters should not automatically lead to threats of arrest or intimidation.
Maharaj Ji further explained that Adeyemo has consistently portrayed himself as a defender of his people, adding that his actions and comments should be seen as advocacy rather than incitement.
