The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has admonished Nigerian youths to take their health seriously in order to be able to take advantage of the great opportunities that abound around them.
First Lady Tinubu gave the admonition on Saturday in her message commemorating the 2023 International Youth Day, affirming that “a healthy youth is a vibrant nation”.
In a message she personally authored and made available to journalists in Abuja, the First Lady applauded the Nigerian youth for their role in driving the nation’s socioeconomic advancement.
“As we commemorate the 2023 International Youth Day, I celebrate you, the youth of this great nation as a priceless resource that drives innovation, progress, and dynamic talents.
“I applaud the crucial role you all play in driving socio- economic advancements in Nigeria. You are indeed ‘torchbearers of tomorrow’.
“Great opportunities abound for those who are physically and mentally strong, hence, I admonish you to take your health seriously especially as the HIV/ AIDS scourge is still prevalent.
“Together we will build a greater and better Nigeria. Happy International Youth Day,” the First Lady said.
