The Imo State Government revealed on Friday that 66,003 persons in total were taking use of the government’s health insurance programme.
According to Uche Ewelike, executive secretary of the Imo State Health Insurance Agency, the goal of the programme is to guarantee that all state residents and citizens have access to high-quality medical treatment.
Ewelike praised Hope Uzodimma, the governor of the state, for sanctioning the start of the programme for the state’s residents.
He said, “From Mbaise to Mbano to Owerri Municipal to Orsu to Okigwe to Nwagele to Oru East to Mbaitoli to Nkwerre to Oguta to Ngor Okpala to Orlu to Ohaji Egbema to the 27 LGAs in Imo State. We have 66,003 now through Imo State Health Insurance Agency accessing free healthcare since 3rd April.
“The governor of Imo State, distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, has done well. This is bringing quality healthcare services to the doorsteps of people of the state. History will be kind to him.”
