800 Nigerians deported from Niger received in Katsina, undergo screening

No fewer than 800 Nigerians deported from the Republic of Niger have been received by security agencies at the Jibia-Magama border in Katsina State.

This was revealed in an operational report obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday.

The report indicated that the deportees, made up of men, women, and children, arrived around 9:30 am in eight buses.

It also noted that the returnees are currently being profiled by officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Customs Service, the police, and other intelligence agencies.

The report explained that the process is intended to ensure proper documentation and security screening of the deportees.

It further stated that once profiling is completed, the deportees will be transferred to Kano State for further necessary action.
