The Adetunji Akanji Ogunkanmi Foundation recently paid a courtesy visit to Alhaja Ayoni Ogunkanmi the surviving mother of the Late Adetunji Ogunkanmi, founding Managing Director of Cornerstone Insurance Plc in Ile-Ogbo, Osun State.
This visit afforded the foundation the opportunity to deliver gifts in the spirit of the season to the aged mother of the Late Ogunkanmi which is one of the founding values of the foundation formed to continue the legacies of the Late Tunji Ogunkanmi which include philanthropy and adding value to institutions that he affiliated with.
The President of the Foundation, Mr. Oluyinka Adebiyi in a statement shared with Newsclick Nigeria in reporting the event, said that “In one of our final acts as the outgoing executive committee of the Adetunji Akanji Ogunkanmi Foundation, with the approval of the Board of Trustees Chairperson, Mrs. Funmi Babington-Ashaye and sponsorship from Cornerstone Insurance Plc, we paid a visit to Alhaja Ayoni Ogunkanmi, the mother of Late Tunji Ogunkanmi bearing gifts at the end of the year.”

The visit which took took place on December 15, 2023 was an emotional experience for the Late Mother of Tunji Ogunkanmi who was full of praise and offered sincere gratitude for the visit and the kind gifts.
Responding on behalf of the family, Honorable Gbenga Ogunkanmi, a former member of the Osun State House of Assembly expressed gratitude on behalf of the family. “We say a big THANK YOU to the Board of Trustees, Executives and All members of this Association for the visitation and gifts to our mother, Alhaja Ayoni Ogunkanmi”.
“The Almighty God will continue to bless everyone, and His presence will not depart your families, ” he prayed.
