Prime Care Hospitals has strongly refuted social media claims suggesting that popular content creator Mukoro Mitchelle, known as King Mitchy, died at its Abuja facility after allegedly ingesting a harmful substance.

In an official statement shared on its Instagram page Saturday morning, the hospital labeled the reports as “FALSE” and emphasized that King Mitchy was never admitted to the hospital, nor did she pass away there. The management also said it is taking active steps to counter the spread of this misinformation.

“We are working with authorities to investigate the source of this misinformation and will take all necessary legal actions against those responsible. Please verify information through our official channels before sharing,” the statement added.

The controversy started when a post appeared on King Mitchy’s official Instagram account, reportedly from her management, announcing her passing. The post claimed that she consumed bleach during a TikTok live stream and was rushed to Prime Care Hospital in Abuja, where attempts to save her were unsuccessful.

“We are deeply heartbroken to share that our beloved Michelle has passed on. Despite all efforts from the medical team here in Abuja, we were told her condition was critical, and sadly, she could not be revived. Rest in peace, Michelle. You will never be forgotten,” the post read.

It went on to appeal: “If you know prime hospital in abuja help us beg them to do something to save her. Her mother has fainted in Lagos already and has been taken to a hospital.”

These conflicting reports have left fans and followers confused. So far, King Mitchy’s death has not been independently confirmed by her family, relevant authorities, or credible sources.

The controversy initially stemmed from Mitchy calling out activist VeryDarkMan after she reportedly renovated a school in Delta State in just six (6) days. In her callout, she urged the activist to be transparent about the activities of his NGO. This did not sit well with VeryDarkMan, leading to further allegations and name-calling.
