Accident on Kaduna-Abuja road claims 13 lives

The Kaduna Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) reported that thirteen people lost their lives in a road accident on the Kaduna-Abuja expressway on Friday.

Kabir Nadabo, the FRSC Sector Commander, stated that the bodies have been taken to St. Gerrard’s Hospital, while three survivors were promptly transported to AP Smart Hospital in Kakuri for treatment.

“The road traffic crash occurred near Olam farm on Kaduna-Abuja highway about 3 pm when a Toyota Hiace marked GTG 96YA carrying 11 persons collided with a Golf Salon marked RBC 369XE with five passengers.”

“As we enter the ember season fully, motorists are reminded of the need to adhere to basic safety ethics while travelling.”

Nadabo admonished drivers to abide by the requisite speed limits, adding that the FRSC is committed to ensuring that roads are safe for all users.
