On Tuesday, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State announced the appointment of 30 Special Advisers, aimed at enhancing governance within the state.
The appointed individuals include former acting Chairman of the state Peoples Democratic Party, Dr. Adekunle Akindele, former acting secretary of the party, Mr. Femi Carena, and the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed.
Another notable appointee is Mrs. Halid Sekina Temilade, a member of the now defunct party, The Osun Progressives, which was a faction of the state’s All Progressives Congress supported by ex-governor Rauf Aregbesola.
According to a statement from the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the inauguration of the Advisers, Board Chairmen, and Vice Chairmen is scheduled to take place on Wednesday.
Adeleke had written to the state House of Assembly, asking for the approval to appoint 25 Special Advisers.
But the statement said, “The Governor has also secured approval for five more Special Advisers in addition to the previously approved 25 to make a total of 30. Of the expected 30 advisers, 10 are of cabinet ranks.”
The newly appointed Special Advisers are as follows: Azeez Badmus, Hon Mosudi Yakubu, Femi Carena, Hon Stephen Olaniran Akanfe Atidade, Dr Adekunle Akindele, Mr Tunde Balogun, Mr Eniola Odeniyi, Alhaji Muniru Adebayo Raji, Mr Goddey Olijeh, Mr Seyi Babatunde, Hon Kamoru Ajisafe, Sunday Komolafe, Tope Victor Anjorin, Princess Oyeboade Rashidat Oyewale Afolabi, Odelade Sarafat OLanrewaju.
Others are, Moji Omisore, Nurudeen Emiloju, Hon Ropo Oyewole, Hon Emiola Fakeye, Hon Yemi Ayodele, Bankole Omisore, Mrs Halid Sekina Temilade, Hashim Abioye Esq, Ajetunmobi Akinwale, Alhaja Hawa Ahmed, Durojaiye Isaac Kolawole, Princess Adebimpe Koyi, Alhaji Abiodun Olaniran, Alhaji Adam Akintunde Akindere and Mallam Olawale Rasheed.
