The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has adjusted the pump price of premium motor spirit (PMS), commonly referred to as petrol, to N915 per litre in Lagos and N955 per litre in Abuja.

According to TheCable,  NNPC retail stations in Lagos are now dispensing petrol at N915 per litre — reflecting a N50 increase from the earlier price of N865 per litre.

Specifically, at NNPC’s Abule Ado retail outlet in Lagos, the new price has been implemented. Similarly, two outlets on Ago Palace Way, Okota, were also seen selling petrol at N915 per litre.

In Abuja, NNPC raised the price to N955 per litre, up from N890 per litre previously. At the NNPC retail station along the Kubwa Expressway, the new rate was already in effect.

On July 31, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported that Jigawa, Ondo, and Lagos recorded the highest average petrol prices in June.

In contrast, Yobe (N950.60), Kogi (N986.67), and Imo (N987.86) were listed among the states with the lowest average pump prices, according to the bureau’s data.

Meanwhile, the Dangote refinery recently lowered its ex-depot price of petrol to N820 per litre, just a week after slashing it from N840.
