As of the time of this report, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) had not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
This latest occurrence marks a repeat of a similar event at the same airport in 2019.
In a separate incident in May, an Air Peace flight was grounded at Asaba International Airport in Delta State after colliding with an antelope while taxiing, causing disruptions to scheduled flights.
