Amotekun arrests two for hacking farmer to death in Ogun

Operatives of the Amotekun corps in Ogun State have arrested two suspects for allegedly killing a farmer, Rasaki Aro.

It was gathered that the farmer was killed after he challenged the suspects, Taiwo Fatai and Muyideen Adeosun, in his farm for attempting to steal his cocoa.

The suspect were arrested for killing  the farmer in his farm in the Oke-Sopin area, Ijebu-Igbo, in the Ijebu-North Local Government Area of the state.

The Field Commander of Ametokun in the state, David Akinremi, in a statement issued on Tuesday added, “When they were challenged by Aro, the suspects pounced on him, inflicting several cuts on him which led to his death.”

Akinremi said the suspects had been taken to the police.

He said, “Both suspects have been handed over to the Police for further investigation.”
