Amotekun intercepts passenger bus with over 500 dagger knives, guns

Operatives of the State Security Network Agency codenamed Amotekun in Ondo have intercepted a passenger bus suspected to be conveying bandits allegedly planning to invade the State.

They intercepted bus was loaded with over 500 pieces of dagger knives concealed under the seats.

The corps also seized guns and other types of knives concealed inside a sack loaded with tiger nuts inside the bus.

The bus was said said to have taken off from Katsina State.

Adetunji Adeleye, Commander of Amotekun in Ondo said the Corps were tried to arrest three 18-seater passenger buses.

But he said two of the buses escaped while his men were able to intercept one of the buses after it successfully evaded different checkpoints.

He added that the bus was eventually intercepted in Ondo town.

Suspects and weapons seized from their bus

He added that the escaped buses were also loaded with passengers who were suspected to also have dangerous weapons.
