Anambra CP vows to hunt down perpetrators of Amichi Vigilante office attack

Anambra State’s Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, has reassured the state’s residents that every effort will be made to apprehend the gunmen responsible for the attack and arson at the vigilante office in Amichi, Nnewi South Local Government Area.

In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra State, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, on Sunday, the CP revealed ongoing efforts to identify and dismantle the gang responsible for the assault.

He extended condolences to the town and its inhabitants for the loss of a vigilante member during the incident.

The Commissioner of Police commended vigilante groups throughout the state for their dedication to safeguarding the public and pledged that the police force would exert every effort to ensure their protection.

Furthermore, the Commissioner instructed Police Tactical Teams and Special Forces across the state to promptly respond to any distress calls from vigilante groups when they come under attack.

He offered prayers for the deceased vigilante member and guaranteed that his sacrifice would not be in vain.
