2023: APC Akwa Ibom Reps candidate appeals for electorates support

Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, an APC candidate for the Eket/ Onna/ Esit Eket/ Ibeno federal seat in Akwa Ibom state, has urged voters to judge him on the basis of his qualifications and track record for providing the constituency with the necessary representation.

When electing their representatives in the state, they were admonished by the former spokesman for the House of Representatives to downplay party politics, religion, and primal emotions.

This was said by Eyiboh during a speech he gave at the Ekid Civic Center on Sunday during his consultation courtesy visit to the Ekid People’s Union.

As some of his intentions for the people, he included partnerships for the full reactivation of Akwa Palms Industry Ltd in Esit Eket, the reactivation of Qua River Hotel, the intervention in the appalling status of the energy supply, and the absence of financial institutions in Esit Eket.

If given the chance to represent the Ekid nation in the green Chambers, he also pledged to work to ensure its inclusion in the socioeconomic priority development policy of the state.

He is “exposed, competent, and better positioned to give them the required strategic representation,” according to the former chairman of the Cross River Basin Development Authority. He also added that with his established contacts, he would take advantage of his many years of innovative participation in socio-democratic practices.

He said, “As director in Akwa Palm and with the mandate to plant at least 6,000 hectares of oil palm seedlings, we planted more than 6,000 hectares.

“With my technical experience and knowledge of global oil palm business and my local and international contacts, I can work with any governor in the state, bilateral and multi-lateral organizations to reactivate that industry. I am grateful to Governor Udom Emmanuel for trying to revive Akwa Palm Industry Ltd.”

In response, Dr. Samuel Udonsak, President-General of the Ekid People’s Union, praised Mr. Eyiboh for acknowledging the union and for visiting to formally consult her on his desire.

Recognizing the issues brought up by Hon. According to Eyiboh, Samuel Udonsak, members of the Ekid Union were free to make decisions on who they would vote for in accordance with their convictions even though the EPU would not endors any particular candidate.
