APC chieftain hails Fayemi, NGF Over Planned Full Implementation Of Autonomy For Legislative, Judiciary Workers
A Stalwart of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Barrister Adebanji Dada has lauded the Nigeria Governor’s Forum led by the Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi for acceding to the yearnings of the Judicial Workers and Parliamentary Staff over their agitations for full autonomy for the two arms of Government.
Barrister Dada in a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti noted that implementation of the autonomy for the two arms of government is long over due as he said President Muhammadu Buhari’s accent to the executive order 10; is the right step in the right direction.
According to him ,the Nigerian Governors forum On April 15, said they will start implementing financial autonomy for the judiciary latest by ending of May’, a pledge he said indicates an end to the ongoing strike that has crippled the nation’s judiciary and Legislature.
“an end may be in sight, on the industrial action embarked upon by the workers of the two arms of government, this is a great feat attained by the NGF under the Leadership of our amiable Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi” .
The Legal Director, APC Houston, Texas, USA seized the opportunity to appeal to the striking members of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), and the Parliamentarian Staff Association of Nigeria, (PASSAN) to call off their strike and allow the Governors fulfil their promises on the autonomy.
The Abuja based lawyer, further explained that progress has been made in the negotiations, as he pointed out that the meeting midwifed between the Governors and the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chris Ngige will lay the issues to rest.
Commending the striking workers for standing for the right cause, Barrister Dada implored them to suspend their strike action because of its adverse effect on the administration of Justice in the country.
