The ruling All Progressives Congress said on Monday that it will begin selling Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for interested candidates in Ondo State’s governorship primary election on April 3 and will expire on April 10.

Sulaiman Argungu, the National Organising Secretary, confirmed this in a statement posted on the party’s official X handle.

Argungu stated that the state governorship primary would take held on April 25, with the primary election appeal to address objections and contestation taking place on April 26.

According to the national organising secretary, the party’s position was consistent with the Electoral Act 2022, as modified, and relevant portions of the Constitution.

The statement partly read, “In compliance with the relevant sections of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Electoral Act 2022, the APC hereby makes public its timetable and schedule of activities leading to the 16th November, 2024 gubernatorial election in Ondo State as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC”.

Meanwhile, the ruling party has pegged the expression of interest form at N10 million, while the nomination form goes for N40 million.

However, female aspirants and persons with disabilities are given a concession to only procure the expression of interest form while the nomination form is free.
