The appeal court sitting in Lagos has upheld the election victory of Honorable Ibori-Suenu Erhiatake, a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of Delta State.

Representative Erhiatake, a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) representing Ethiope Federal Constituency, secured victory over Ben Rolands Igbakpa and Mr. Halims Ahoda, candidates of the NNPP and APC, respectively.

The judgment was delivered on Tuesday in Lagos by Hon. Justice Festus Ogbuinaya, Justice Senchi, and Justice Waziri.

Ibori-Suenu is the daughter of Chief James Onanefe Ibori, a former governor of Delta State and the National Leader of the PDP in the state.

The appellate court found merit in the PDP candidate’s appeal and granted it, thereby overturning the decision of the lower court.

In a press release issued on Tuesday, Representative Erhiatake characterized the Court of Appeal’s decision as a triumph for both her constituents and divine providence.

She commended the Court of Appeal’s ruling, emphasizing that it reinforces the endurance of democracy.
