Some bandits in the late hours of Thursday reportedly attacked St. Raphael Parish in Fadan Kamantan, within the Kafanchan Diocese in Southern Kaduna. During the incident, they set fire to the parish house, and tragically, a Seminarian named Na’aman Danlami was also present.
It was learned that while some priests escaped the inferno, but seminarian Danlami was caught in the fire, and his remains were later taken to the mortuary.
The state government and the Kaduna State Police Command have not yet released an official statement on the incident.
Nonetheless, Rev. John Hayab, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Kaduna State, verified the incident to newsmen.
“It is very sad that killings and this type of evil are still going on,” Hayab said.
