Bandits kill 23 in Kaduna village attack

Bandits have reportedly claimed the lives of at least 23 individuals in an assault on the Anguwar Danko community near the Dogon Dawa district in the eastern area of the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Birnin Gwari is adjacent to Katsina State.

While the Kaduna police authorities have not yet confirmed the incident, community leader Zubairu Abdulrahuf informed Channels Television that a significant number of bandits raided the community on Wednesday night.

According to Abdulrahuf, the assailants began firing indiscriminately to instill fear among residents, resulting in the tragic death of over 20 individuals.

He further revealed that five individuals sustained gunshot injuries of varying severity, and several others remain unaccounted for following the assault.
