Gunmen suspected to be bandits have reported killed three farmers at Funkwa village, Yangtu Special Development Area of Taraba State.

The victims were slaughtered on their way to the farm, according to Abudullahi Usman, the Adamawa State Police Command Public Relations Officer.
The Yangtu Special Development Area coordinator, Emmanuel Madaki, condemned the killing and questioned why the innocent victims, who were just going about their daily lives to make ends meet, were killed.
He also pleaded with the state governor, Agbu Kefas, to take the necessary steps to restore peace to the area so that farmers can operate without fear.
