Reality TV star Anita Natasha Akide, widely known as Tacha, has openly expressed her ambition to venture into politics.
In a recent interview with Ebuka, BBNaija star Tacha, who hails from Port Harcourt, voiced her disappointment with the current state of affairs in Rivers State, emphasizing the region’s untapped potential.
She also stressed the importance of youth participation in governance, pointing out the many opportunities and talents that remain underutilized.
She said, “When I look at other states like Abuja and Lagos, and I see how far they’ve come, and with the potential Rivers State has, they’re not trying to exploit it. It’s just very disappointing because there are so many youths, so many talents there, so many things that if the government can see light into, a lot can happen.”
Tacha noted that actively participating in government is a more effective way to drive change than merely criticizing from the sidelines.
When asked about her political ambitions, she hinted at ongoing plans, revealing that she is currently working on something and will share more details once she is about 70% ready.
Tacha said, “It is something I’m working on. I’ll have to make it 70% done before I can talk about it, because it does not make sense granting interviews like this, talking about the government without being involved.”
The reality TV star also revealed her plans to attempt breaking the world record for the most makeup applications in 24 hours, setting her sights on completing 150 makeovers.
