The daughter of Bukar Abacha, a member of the Borno State House of Assembly representing Ngala local government area, was strangled to death by unknown persons in the Gidan Dembe neighborhood of Maiduguri.

This development occurred in under 24 hours after Governor Babagana Zulum ordered the demolition of brothels, shanties, and makeshift bars in the vicinity of the Railway Terminus. He asserted that these illicit activities were contributing to the rise in criminal behavior and related violence within the city.

According to sources, the incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday when the husband left the compound to attend a nearby mosque for prayers.

The husband of Mrs. Amma Buwa, the victim, brought her lifeless body to the police station. He discovered her in their home with her hands and legs bound behind her back, and their two-year-old child crying nearby.

The Gwange Police Division then removed the body and took it to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital for autopsy and further investigation.

The incident, which sparked anxiety and chaos in the area, drew a significant crowd of residents who gathered at the scene to observe the situation.

According to reports of a family who shared the news of the incident on his Facebook page made known that, the remains of the deceased would be buried today (Wednesday) morning in Maiduguri.
