Governor Godwin Obaseki on Friday formally defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a short video obtained by Newsclickng.com, the governor along with some of his supporters stormed the PDP secretariat to declare his interest to join the party.

Recall that both Obaseki and his deputy, Shaibu had earlier resigned their membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following a prolonged battle with their predecessor and party chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
