BREAKING: Two injured as vehicle conveying prisoners to court hits commercial bus in Osun

SOn Thursday, there was tension in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, after a truck carrying prisoners to the State High Court collided with a commercial minibus, injuring two people.

Commercial motorcycle riders and a few irate youths blocked the well-known Olaiya Interchange in protest after the incident, which instantly triggered violent protest.

Witnesses claimed that the driver of the jail truck disobeyed a traffic light that had signalled him to halt and, as a result, struck a minibus, injuring both the driver and one of the passengers.

Police who were sent to the location used tear gas to disperse the demonstrators as of the time this report was filed.
