Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi and representing Ogun West Senatorial District, has obtained the N50 million All Progressives Congress governorship nomination forms ahead of the 2027 Ogun State election.
The forms were reportedly secured on his behalf, indicating his entry into the race for the state’s top political office.
The APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, on Tuesday in Abuja, announced the commencement of the process and handed over the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms to Adeola’s representative.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the presidential and National Assembly elections are scheduled for Saturday, January 16, 2027, while governorship and State House of Assembly elections will hold on Saturday, February 6, 2027.
The commission also fixed party primaries and resolution of disputes between April 23, 2026, and May 30, 2026.
Campaigns for the presidential and National Assembly elections are expected to begin on August 19, 2026, while those for governorship and state assembly polls will start on September 9, 2026.
