Bruno Mars concert canceled due to Israeli-Palestinian war

Bruno Mars’s concert in Israel has been canceled, just as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the country is in a state of war.

The entertainment company responsible for the event, Live Nation, released this statement via Instagram earlier on Saturday.

It stated, “Dear customers, Bruno Mars concert scheduled to take place tonight is cancelled.”

The translated social media post from Hebrew to English conveyed, “All ticket purchases to the show will receive an automatic refund to the credit card through which the purchase was made.”

“We stand with the residents of Israel, IDF fighters and the security forces in these difficult moments.”

Mars, 37 years old, was scheduled to perform for the second time at Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv on Saturday.

Remember, the singer of ‘Locked Out of Heaven’ marked his first night in Israel with an Instagram post on Thursday, showing him gazing out over a large crowd with arms wide open. He captioned the picture with, ‘Last night ?’.

As of now, Mars has not made any statements regarding the cancellation on his social media platforms. Page Six’s request for comment was not promptly answered by his representatives.

It remains uncertain whether the Grammy-winning musician and his band members have managed to leave the country amidst its current unrest.

In an unprecedented attack on the Gaza Strip early Saturday, Hamas inflicted significant damage, resulting in a toll of at least 40 casualties and leaving hundreds injured.

“We are at war,” Netanyahu, 73, said in a televised address to the nation before announcing that he was declaring a mass army mobilization. “Not an ‘operation,’ not a ‘round,’ but at war.”

He added, “The enemy will pay an unprecedented price.”

Afterward, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) initiated airstrikes, resulting in a reported 198 Palestinian fatalities and 1,610 injuries, as stated by the Palestinian health minister in Gaza.
