On Thursday, President Muhammadu Buhari approved Mallam Shekarau Omar’s reappointment as Executive Director, Small and Medium Enterprises for a second term.
Omar, whose first term was set to end on March 5, 2023, will now serve for an additional four years.
Ifedayo Sayo, Senior Assistant Media to the Minister of Trade and Investment, made the announcement in a statement.
Omar, the current ED SME, has repositioned the SME Directorate by significantly expanding the portfolio and significantly improving the risk asset quality.
Similarly, the President also approved the appointment of Mabel Ndagi as Executive Director to take effect from March 19, 2023.
The statement reads, “Ndagi will be replacing a retiring Executive Director, Toyin Adeniji, who would be retiring March 18, 2023, after serving her second and final term in office.
“She is currently the General Manager, Government and External Communications for the Bank of Industry. Ms Ndagi has served diligently in the bank for over 16 years.”
