The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, on Tuesday, united with wounded personnel in Sokoto and motivated troops for more engagement as part of Christmas celebrations.
Musa called on Nigerians to come together against the nation’s adversaries, expressing solidarity with the Armed Forces of Nigeria during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
During his visit to Sokoto, he engaged with wounded personnel and those actively involved in various operational fields in the region.
Musa emphasized the festive and joyous nature of the season, highlighting the Nigerian Army’s decision to celebrate with all personnel and offer prayers for those who made ultimate sacrifices.
Musa appealed to the wounded personnel to view their situation as destiny, assuring them of the full support of the Nigerian Army for their recovery and return to service.
He expressed appreciation to the armed forces and the entire nation for their unwavering commitment, underscoring the need to recognize the sacrifices made by all uniformed heroes defending the nation.
“I encourage you to face the challenges with unity and courage, your bravery will not go unnoticed, and we commit to continuous support.
“May the festive spirit bind us as one, and the warmth of shared destiny resonate beyond this season,” he said.
