Chukwueze to undergo Milan medicals on Wednesday

Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze’s highly anticipated transfer to Milan is nearly completed, as the Italian powerhouse has successfully concluded negotiations with Villarreal and has arrived in Italy for his medical examinations, scheduled for Wednesday.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the deal is almost finalized, with only minor administrative formalities left to be resolved within the next few hours.

Milan is expected to officially announce the signing of Chukwueze soon, making him their seventh acquisition this summer.

Out of the seven players signed, he will be the fifth for whom the club has paid a transfer fee. The initial payment amounts to €20 million, with an additional €8 million in bonuses.

After completing his medical on Wednesday, Chukwueze will sign a five-year contract with the Serie A side, which will see him earn €4m per season.

Chukwueze’s existing contract with Villarreal was set to end at the conclusion of the current season, which provided an extra incentive to quickly finalize the transfer.

After all the necessary paperwork has been completed for Chukwueze, he will travel to the United States of America to join Stefano Pioli’s squad during their pre-season tour.

As anticipation grows among the Milan fan base, the focus is now on the official announcement, with fans eagerly awaiting Chukwueze’s debut in the iconic red and black jersey.
