On December 21, 2023, the National Assembly confirmed the justices’ elevation based on President Bola Tinubu’s recommendations.

According to an invitation issued on Friday, Festus Akande, the Supreme Court’s Director of Information, stated that the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola, will administer the oath of office to the justices.
