Damilola Adeparusi, a Nigerian chef based in Ekiti, has successfully surpassed Hilda Baci’s previous record of a 100-hour Cook-a-thon.

On Tuesday, the chef shared the news of her accomplishment on her Instagram page, expressing her joy and celebration of the feat.

According to earlier reports, Adeparusi embarked on a 120-hour cook-a-thon challenge. A viral video captured her completing 15 hours out of the total 120-hour duration set for the cooking challenge.

While some individuals on social media have criticized her for attempting to break Hilda’s yet-to-be-confirmed Guinness World Record, others have praised her for having belief in herself.

In addition to this, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, the First Lady of Ekiti State, expressed her support and celebration of Chef Damilola’s attempt to break the Guinness World Record in the longest cooking category, targeting 120 hours.

On social media, the First Lady acknowledged and praised the chef’s efforts.

Furthermore, Chef Dammy caught the attention of Dr. Ayo Arojo, a Nigerian doctor, who generously gifted her N500,000 and a two-week cooking tour in the United States.

Dr. Arojo, via his Facebook page, announced his support for Chef Dammy and encouraged others to rally behind the Ekiti chef.

He said, ““Chef Dammy will be invited for a two-week cook tour in the United States. I can’t wait for her to start the process!

“Let us continue to support her.”
