‘Corporate Communications Professional of the Year,’ ACAMB President Rasheed Bolarinwa steals show at Osun NIPR Awards
President of the Association of Corporate & Marketing Communications Professionals in Nigeria Banks (ACAMB), Rasheed Bolarinwa was on Saturday conferred with the Award of Excellence and Recognition as Corporate Communications Professional of the Year at the 2023 Osun NIPR (Nigerian Institute of Public Relations) Excellence in Public Service Awards.
The Award ceremony held at the Open Air Studio, Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC), Oke Baale, Osogbo, Osun State. It had in attendance dignitaries including the Governor of the State, Ademola Adeleke ably represented by the Commissioner of Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi. Serving Local Government chairmen, House of Assembly members, Special Advisers also graced the ceremony.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Osun State NIPR chairman, Ademola Adesoji appreciated Bolarinwa and other awardees for their overwhelming supports for the Institute. He specifically recalled the ACAMB’s boss contribution to the success of the Award ceremony which is now in its second edition.
Receiving the award, Bolarinwa who also doubles as Head, Corporate Communications of Polaris Bank thanked the Osun NIPR for finding him worthy of the award. He explained that the award serves as motivation for him to continue to strive for excellence.
‘I want to thank the Osun State NIPR Executives for finding me worthy of this award. It is particularly interesting because this is happening on my home soil having won similar awards from other State chapters of the Institute in recent times. This is an icing on the cake and I want to state categorically that I do not take this for granted. We’ll continue to strive for the betterment of our profession and ensure efficient service delivery at all times,” the ACAMB boss said.

Others include; Public Relations of Officer, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Osimosu Oluwaseun; Public Relations of Officer, Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), Kikelomo Owoeye; Director of Information, Olorunda Local Government, Bukola Elufadejin; Information Officer, Osun State Ministry of Information and Public Enlightenment, Abisola Ariwodola; Retired Director, Federal Civil Service, Michael Adeyemi.
NewsClick Nigeria reports that Bolarinwa was in 2022 honoured with the ‘Outstanding PR Professional of the Year’ Award by the NIPR Ogun State chapter in conjunction with PR Primal Ltd. The Lagos State chapter of the Institute had also earlier honoured him for excellence service to the chapter.
