A Federal High Court in Abuja dismissed a suit filed by three individuals seeking to halt the inauguration of President-elect Bola Tinubu and his vice, Kashim Shettima, due to age and citizenship status falsification in the document Tinubu submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission.
In a judgement issued on Friday, Justice James Omotosho ruled that the complaint filed by Praise Ilemona Isaiah, Pastor Paul Isaac Audu, and Anongu Moses was frivolous and an abuse of the court process.
Justice Omotosho held that the plaintiffs lacked the locus standi to file the suit, adding that the court could not exercise jurisdiction to hear it because it relates to a presidential election.
