The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to Abba Kyari, the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police.
Justice Kolawole Omotosho granted bail to Kyari on Thursday after he had spent 18 months in detention.
Kyari was declared wanted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) due to his alleged involvement in a 25kg cocaine deal.
He was taken into custody in February 2022 following accusations of tampering with drug exhibits and was subsequently remanded in Kuje Prison, Abuja.
While he has been granted bail by the Federal High Court in Abuja, Kyari still has another case pending before Justice Emeka Nwite of a Federal High Court in Abuja.
