The Ondo state House of Assembly has been ordered by the Ondo State High Court to reinstate Mr. Iroju Ogundeji as Deputy speaker of the Assembly.
Ogundeji disagreed with the House leadership in 2020, which led to the removal of Ogundeji as deputy speaker of the Assembly.
The Assembly later nominated Mr. Samuel Aderoboye as the deputy speaker after his dismissal. The latter was remained in that position as of court’s decision on Wednesday.
The troubled politician had gone before the court to protest being dismissed.
When giving her ruling, the judge, Justice Adetan Osadebe, rejected the plaintiff’s removal and declared the Assembly’s conduct to be unconstitutional.
