Dana Air to resume operations on November 9
Dana Air has announced that flight operations will resume on November 9, 2022.
The airline made the announcement in a statement on Friday.
Dana Air was suspended by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) four months ago for multiple regulatory violations.
According to the authority, it suspended the company’s operating licenses after “discovering that the airline is no longer in a position to meet its financial obligations and conduct safe flight operations.”
Dana Air was fined for flying several flights on the MD 80 fleet without a licensed captain.
Dana Air and its employees were also sanctioned for maintenance violations.
However, the air transport company stated in the statement that it intends to resume flight operations following the successful completion of NCAA’s audit.
”We are pleased to announce that we will resume flights operations on November 9th, having successfully concluding an audit organised by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA),” Dana Air said.
Ememobong Ettete, accountable manager/chief operating officer of Dana Air, commented on the development, saying that with new management, the company is better positioned to provide safe flights to passengers.

Kingsley Ezenwa, Dana Air’s head of corporate communications, also spoke about the resumption and apologized to all of their customers, vendors, travel partners, and corporate clients for the abrupt suspension of our flights.
