David Adeleke, better known by his stage as Davido, has shown his support for his colleague Olubankole Wellington, who won the People’s Democratic Party primaries on Monday.
After securing 28 of the 31 votes cast by delegates at the primary, the politician known as Banky W was declared the winner of the Eti-Osa House of Representative ticket for the upcoming 2023 general election.
On Tuesday, Davido tweeted his support for the EME boss, saying: “Congrats @BankyW ! You have my support! Don’t sit at home and complain, get up and make a change.”
Other celebrities like Big Brother Naija presenter, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, have praised and offered support for Olubankole Wellington.
“One building block at a time. Congrats @BankyW! Time to prepare even harder bro,” he tweeted on Tuesday.
Rap artiste, MI Abaga wrote “Many will talk, few will do. Congrats @BankyW.”
DJ Neptune congratulated the singer on twitter saying, “Congrats Banky W!”
Popular businessman, Obi Cubana, tweeted, “Congratulations @BankyW on securing PDP Primaries ticket for House Of Representatives,”
