Prominent Nigerian journalist and businessman, Dele Momodu has debunked spreading rumors that billionaire Mike Adenuga had died.
Unverified rumors circulated on social media that 71-year-old Adenuga had passed away.
As the creator of Globacom, Nigeria’s second-largest telecommunications business with major operations in Ghana and the Benin Republic, Adenuga is hailed as Africa’s fifth-richest person by Forbes.
In response to the reports, Dele Momodu urged individuals to stop spreading misleading information and reassured the public that Adenuga is still alive and well.
“Ignore the fake news… The Spirit of Africa DR MICHAEL ADENIYI AGBOLADE ISOLA ADENUGA is hale and hearty. He’s right now at his desk working round the clock in support of the Nigerian economy… He just called me to thank everyone for their concern,” he said.
Supporters and friends of the business magnate, who has played a significant role in developing Nigeria’s oil and telecoms industries, are relieved by the clarification.
Adenuga’s position as a pivotal personality on the African continent has been solidified by his noteworthy contributions to philanthropy and business.
Dele Momodu’s remark has allayed the many concerns raised by the billionaire’s silence during the rumors.
