Desmond Elliot, a third-term member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has called on Lagos residents to discourage roadside parking and articulated vehicles from using roads as parking spaces.
Elliot made the appeal during the commissioning of four roads in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday.

Speaking at the event, Elliot, who represents Surulere Constituency and chairs the House Committee on Works, said:
“This road is not for parking containers or articulated vehicles. It’s meant for movement and for people to benefit. Own your roads and discourage roadside parking.”
The commissioning was attended by Deputy Governor Kadri Hamzat, Speaker Mojisola Meranda, traditional rulers, and APC members.
