Sean “Diddy” Combs faces new allegations in a lawsuit claiming he dangled a woman from a 17th-floor balcony during a dispute.

Filed in Los Angeles by fashion designer Bryana “Bana” Bongolan, the lawsuit alleges the incident occurred in 2016 at the apartment of Combs’ then-girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura.

This case adds to over two dozen lawsuits accusing Combs of various offenses, including sexual assault, drugging individuals, witness intimidation, and physical violence.

He also faces federal charges related to racketeering and sex trafficking, all of which he denies.

A representative for Combs told the BBC on Tuesday that he “firmly denies these serious allegations” and is confident they will be proven baseless.

According to the lawsuit, Bongolan was staying at Ventura’s apartment when Combs allegedly arrived, shouting and banging on the door.

After entering, he reportedly confronted Bongolan on the balcony, grabbing and assaulting her. The lawsuit claims he lifted her and dangled her over the edge.

At the time, Bongolan weighed approximately 100 pounds (45.3 kg) and reportedly struggled to resist, fearing for her life.

The lawsuit states Combs overpowered her until Ventura intervened, after which he allegedly pulled Bongolan back, slamming her onto patio furniture.

In a statement to the BBC, a representative for Combs denied all allegations.

“Anyone has the right to file a lawsuit, regardless of the evidence they may or may not have,” the statement reads, adding Mr Combs “has unwavering faith in the facts and in the fairness of the judicial process”.

It continues: “In court, the truth will come to light, demonstrating that the claims against Mr Combs are without merit.”

Ms. Bongolan claims she still does not know what triggered the alleged incident, according to the lawsuit. She is seeking $10 million (£7.89 million) in damages from the rapper.

The suit describes the incident as part of a “pattern of threats, intimidation, and violence” that marked many of her interactions with Combs since they first met.

These allegations are similar to those in a separate lawsuit filed by Casandra “Cassie” Ventura. That case, filed in 2023 and settled the following day, accused Combs of abuse, rape, and sex trafficking. It also mentioned an incident where Combs allegedly lifted one of Ventura’s friends and dangled them over a balcony.

Bongolan further alleges she faced “terror and abuse” throughout their professional relationship, which began when Combs approached her to collaborate on projects like a clothing line and album cover art.

Currently, Combs is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, after a judge denied him bail three times.
