The Department of State Services (DSS) announced on Saturday its upcoming revelation of weapons manufactured by its own personnel.

The Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Yusuf Bichi, revealed during the graduation ceremony of the Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) 16 participants in Abuja that the agency will soon showcase weapons crafted by its own personnel.

He emphasized the DSS’s commitment to self-sufficiency, stating that they will “produce what it eats and eat what it produces.” Among the forthcoming weapons to be unveiled are Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), he mentioned.

Bichi also pledged ongoing support from the agency to the National Institute for Security Studies, aiming to contribute to the enhancement of security knowledge in the country.

Encouraging the participants to apply their acquired skills for national development, he urged Nigerians to embrace patriotism and reject warmongers seeking to destabilize the country.

The Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, was also present at the occasion. The Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) 16 began in February 2023, featuring 89 participants from 35 agencies within Nigeria and four other African nations—Niger, The Gambia, Rwanda, and Chad.

Tragically, three participants passed away during the course, resulting in the graduation of 86 participants on Saturday.
