Yushau Shuaibu, a man accused for attempted suicide, was released on bond to his lawyer following a test.
According to a Friday statement issued by FCT Police Command Public Relations Officer Josephine Adeh in Abuja, Shuaibu was released on bail to his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, on Thursday.
On July 8, Yushau attempted suicide by climbing Aso Radio’s broadcast mast in Katampe, Abuja.
He was arrested and taken to the FCT administration’s Social Development Secretariat (SDS) for mental screening and evaluation.
Although the assessment report said that he is mentally stable, anxiousness, continuous worry, and fears were detected when profiling him.
The FCTA SDS suggested that the suspect be permitted to report to their office once a week for additional psychosocial care and support, which is why he was admitted to bond.
Following his release on bail, his lawyer must produce him anytime he is requested at the order.
