In anticipation of the September 21 Edo State governorship election, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike declared that he would not support Governor Godwin Obaseki.

Wike made this statement on Friday during an interview on Politics Today, a program on Channels Television. He also affirmed that he would not back the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo, who is endorsed by the outgoing Governor Obaseki.

Additionally, the FCT Minister referred to Obaseki as ungrateful.
