#EdoDecides2024: EFCC nab suspected vote-buyers

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have apprehended several suspected vote-buyers during the ongoing Edo Governorship election.

The arrests took place around 10:00 am in Egor Local Government Area.

EFCC officials left the scene with three individuals in custody—two men and one woman. However, some residents protested the arrests, claiming they were being unfairly targeted.

On Friday, the EFCC had announced the deployment of operatives to monitor the election, pledging to uphold the integrity of the process.
