Ekiti PDP governorship primary holds January 26

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has picked January 26 for the Ekiti State governorship primary election.

The exercise was initially slated to hold on January 28.

The party said in a statement that its ward congress to elect a three-member ad hoc ward delegates, earlier slated for January 7 to 8, had been shifted to January 15.

“Consequently, the local government congress to elect one national delegate per local government as well as person living with disability, earlier scheduled for January 15, has been shifted to January 22.

“The state congress to elect the governorship candidate (candidate nomination) earlier scheduled for January 28, is now slated to hold on January 26.

“All governorship aspirants, critical stakeholders, leaders and members of our party in Ekiti State are by this guided accordingly,” the statement said.
