ADC governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Dare Bejide, has alleged that a vote-buying incident at his polling unit sparked a confrontation involving party supporters, local officials and security personnel during Saturday’s governorship election.

According to Bejide, suspicion arose after a woman was accused of attempting to distribute money to voters. He said the situation escalated when she reportedly contacted her superior, prompting the arrival of the council chairman at the scene.

Speaking on the incident, the ADC candidate claimed he confronted the woman over the allegations before tensions heightened.

“There were allegations that this lady was distributing money, and I confronted her. She called her boss. The council chairman came here and started abusing me,” Bejide said.

The politician maintained that the disagreement led to a heated exchange involving party officials and security operatives at the polling unit, raising concerns over alleged vote-buying activities during the election.
