#EndBadGovernance: Police nab 50 in Nasarawa

The Nigeria police have arrested 50 protesters in Nasarawa State for causing unrest during Thursday’s nationwide protest.

The Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, disclosed this to Channels Television.

He stated that the protesters were arrested for attacking police personnel and disrupting law and order in the state.

Nansel detailed that 25 individuals were apprehended in Lafia, 16 in Karu, six in Keffi, and three in Mararaba-Udege of Nasarawa Local Government Areas.

Those arrested are currently in police custody for further interrogation and investigation.

Nansel assured that the police and other security agencies would continue to handle the protest professionally.

He also warned that troublemakers intending to cause chaos under the guise of protesting would face the full extent of the law.
