The distinguished General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has been named Patron of the Ecumenical Synod of Bishops, Archbishops, and Senior Clergy Inc. (ESBAASC).
During the group’s historic international summit, which took place from August 22–25 at the sacred grounds of Emmanuel Park, this revolutionary announcement was made. According to Church Times, his position and views serve as a clear appeal for a fresh commitment to promoting genuine religious unity.
The conference examined the critical problems of religious tolerance, analysing its obstacles and considering methods for its wider implementation. It was held under the thought-provoking topic of “Religious Tolerance in Nigeria and Across the Nations of the World.”

In a ceremony brimming with reverence, Archbishop Prof. Kehinde Olubunmi, the International Prelate and Chief Host, honored Pastor Adeboye with the role of Patron, alongside Archbishop Prof.
Mary Ajisafe of Peace of God Ministry in Lagos, who was named Matron of ESBAASC. The nominations were met with resounding applause and a standing ovation, reflecting the profound respect and admiration for their spiritual leadership.
Archbishop Olubunmi highlighted the group’s tireless efforts in partnership with global organizations to foster religious tolerance in Nigeria, with the ambitious vision of spreading this ethos across Africa.
